01. Carbon Feasibility & Eligibility

Before significant project-development expenditure is made, we assess whether the project has a credible carbon-market pathway.

  • ✓
Methodology Screening Identify potentially applicable methodologies and assess applicability conditions.
  • ✓
Project Timeline Review Review commissioning dates, implementation history, investment decisions and registration timing requirements.
  • ✓
Baseline & Additionality Assess baseline conditions and whether credible additional emission reductions or removals can be demonstrated.
  • ✓
Commercial Assessment Estimate potential volume, project-development cost, timeline and market pathway.

02. Project Development & MRV

Translate the underlying mitigation activity into evidence-based and audit-ready carbon project documentation.

  • ✓
Project Description Development Project boundaries, baseline scenarios, ownership, activities and emission-reduction calculations.
  • ✓
Monitoring Architecture Monitored parameters, meters, data sources, sampling, QA/QC and evidence retention.
  • ✓
Safeguards & Stakeholders Support applicable environmental, social and stakeholder requirements.

03. Validation, Registration & Issuance

Safeguards & Stakeholder Engagement Integrate environmental and social safeguards and stakeholder consultation.
  • ✓
Certification & Issuance Coordinate documentation, assurance, monitoring and registry processes.

International Market Readiness

Where relevant, projects may also require Article 6 authorization, corresponding adjustments or other international compliance requirements. We assess these pathways separately rather than assuming every carbon credit has identical market eligibility.

PARIS AGREEMENT COOPERATIVE APPROACHES

Article 6.2

Article 6.2 enables international cooperation on mitigation outcomes. Delnotic helps project owners prepare projects for host-country authorization, international transfer structures and acquiring-country requirements.

Host Authorization ITMOs Corresponding Adjustment Buyer Country MRV
Official reference: UNFCCC Article 6 ↗

From Carbon Project to International Transfer

  • ✓
Article 6 Eligibility Screening Assess project activity, methodology, host-country requirements, NDC relevance and intended international use.
  • ✓
Host-Country Readiness Prepare technical information for engagement with the national Article 6 authority.
  • ✓
Authorization Strategy Structure projects considering authorization and corresponding-adjustment requirements.
  • ✓
Acquiring-Country Alignment Assess requirements of potential bilateral and international buyer-country pathways.

Carbon Credits and ITMOs Are Not Automatically the Same

A credit issued under a carbon standard does not automatically become an internationally transferred mitigation outcome. International transfer depends on applicable authorization, accounting and reporting requirements.

INTERNATIONAL AVIATION CARBON MARKET

CORSIA

Delnotic assesses carbon projects for potential compatibility with the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation and supports project owners in understanding additional eligibility and authorization requirements.

ICAO Eligible Units Host Authorization Vintage Airline Buyers
Official reference: ICAO CORSIA ↗

CORSIA Eligibility Starts at Project Design

  • ✓
Program & Methodology Screening Assess whether a project pathway is compatible with current CORSIA requirements.
  • ✓
Host-Country Requirements Evaluate applicable authorization and international accounting requirements.
  • ✓
Project Documentation Structure technical and monitoring evidence for eligibility and buyer diligence.
  • ✓
Market Preparation Prepare projects for engagement with airlines, traders and compliance-market buyers.

Eligibility Must Be Confirmed, Not Assumed

Recognition of a carbon-crediting program does not mean every unit issued under that program qualifies for every CORSIA compliance period. Each project must be assessed against the applicable requirements.

JAPAN-LINKED BILATERAL CREDITING

Joint Crediting Mechanism

The Joint Crediting Mechanism supports international cooperation on decarbonizing technologies and mitigation activities between Japan and partner countries. Delnotic assesses project fit, methodology options, MRV requirements and partnership structures.

Technology Methodology Japanese Partner MRV Climate Finance

JCM Opportunity Development

  • ✓
Project Fit Assessment Screen technology, emission-reduction potential, implementation status, financing and timing.
  • ✓
Methodology Assessment Review existing methodologies and potential methodology-development requirements.
  • ✓
Partner Coordination Support engagement with appropriate Japanese counterparties and climate-finance channels.
  • ✓
MRV & Documentation Build the data architecture necessary to monitor and verify emission reductions.

Technology + Carbon Finance

For suitable projects, JCM can be considered not simply as a carbon-credit pathway but as part of a wider technology, bilateral cooperation and climate-finance structure.

HOW WE EXECUTE

From first screening to issuance and market access.

Carbon projects can fail when technical, regulatory and commercial workstreams are treated separately. Our approach keeps them connected from the beginning.

AFOLU
HOW WE THINK ABOUT QUALITY

We do not promise credits before the evidence supports them.

Carbon-market eligibility is project-specific. Methodology applicability, additionality, project timing, ownership, monitoring quality, regulatory requirements and independent validation all matter. Our role is to identify the strongest credible pathway — and to identify early when a project does not fit.

Eligibility First Test rules and timelines before committing major development expenditure.
Evidence Over Claims Build decisions around measurable, auditable data and documentation.
Market Fit Design projects with their intended market, buyer and use case in mind.
Environmental Integrity Maintain clear ownership, accounting and safeguards against inappropriate double counting.
